Basic Bulking and cutting Tips


Bulking tips-

  • Eat high calorie dense food if you have a small appetite, olive oil, liquid calories, butter, etc.

  • Get plenty of rest and sleep, might need 8-10 since you are trying to grow

  • Stay hydrated the muscle is mostly water

  • Eat around 1 Gram of protein + per lean pound of your bodyweight for health, muscle protein synthesis

  • Eat early get a large chunk of calories in early so you are not eating calories in late at night

  • Try to eat your last meal a few hours before bed so you get good quality sleep and your body isn't focused on processing a lot of food

  • Train with intensity and grow stronger in weight, reps, control of the exercise each lifting day to grow, the stronger the muscle it HAS to grow

  • Still try to get mostly whole foods in, eat out if u need to BUT, make sure it is calculated for your goals and do not binge and just eat everything

 

Cutting Tips-

  • Obviously a Calorie deficit for fat loss

  • Lift minimum 2x, recommended 4x Plus to maintain + build muscle especially as a beginner

  • Get steps in daily recommended 10k

  • Eat whole foods that are filling and voluminous, vegetables, fruit, also have fiber and will keep u full longer 

  • Eat around 1 Gram of protein per lean pound of your bodyweight for health, muscle protein synthesis, and protein is extremely satisfying especially for a dieting phase

  • Drink plenty of water/ electrolytes

  • Get plenty of rest, 7-9 hours of good sleep

  • Train the same as you did on the bulk to maintain majority of the muscle you built
